According to my mother, I hated swimming, but now that I got older, I love swimming, being my second favorite sport after baseball, and tied with basketball. I love swimming, been to several swimming tournament and jamborees, am going to join the swim team next year during 8th grade, and going to work hard for my team in swimming.
By the time I was like 7 or something like that, I would be swimming at the pool almost every day. I would be swimming, but sadly, it would have no result whatsoever. So I moved, and moved, until I met this coach that I still contact who is now my ski coach. I was under his coaching for almost 4 years, with one year in America, where I met another amazing coach. Now, I'm in a swim team swimming 4,000 meters every day.
So as I told you earlier, I love swimming, yet I don't like two strokes. I don't like butterfly, the hardest stroke out of all 4 stokes, and I don't like freestyle, not because I don't like it because my heart hates it, but because I'm not good at freestyle. My freestyle 50 meter record is around 32 seconds, but although this is probably inaccurate because this was in October of 2022, I still am very slow compared to my fellow 13 year-olds. My butterfly is the worst out of them all, around 37 seconds, also very slow compared to my fellow 13 year olds.
Now with backstroke, a stroke that is most comfortable in swimming after breaststokre (I'll get to breaststroke). For backstroke, I hated it because I sucked at it, but my swim coach (they are not Coach Sampan) told me to try backstroke for a swim meet, and I accepted, because I need my backstroke 50 time. I did it, and apperantly, it turned out that I'm amazing at backstroke. For reference, my backstroke 50 time is around like 35 seconds, this is not exact because I forgot. BUT it is around that time.
Now for my favorite stroke of them all, breaststroke. Another word for this is the frog stroke, and don't ask me why, because I don't know. But, what I do know is that I am VERY, VERY good at breaststoke, and that it is my main stroke. There is not much to say for breaststoke except that I'm very good at it, but I'll try to say as much as I can. When I started breaststroke for real back in 2021ish, so not so long ago, I used my arm so much that it hurt. I used my arms to pull, but when I joined my current swim team last August, the coach told me to use my legs to push me forward, and I probably got faster. And one thing that I will say is that I will bring some W to the swim team next year using breaststroke.
This is it for my first page on Neocities.org. I am honored to share my swimming history with you guys, and I hope to see you guys later.
